Preparing for the Women's Tour fun ride

This short scenic rural route runs along the cycleways with lovely views across both Daventry and Drayton Reservoirs. Suitable for all, the route is traffic free although some sections do run alongside or cross minor roads. The hardpack surface with some gravel or dirt sections make it perfect for hybrid or mountain bikes, or road bikes with some tread. Children will love cycling free and enjoying the country parks and views, after rain there may even be some puddles to splash through! There are cafe and toilet facilities both at the start and in Daventry Country Park.  Please be aware there are some width restrictions on entry to the country park due to bollards. Bollards at Daventry Country Park = 36", Metal barriers at Drayton = 24"
