A mainly traffic-free route to Lydiard Park from Cambria Bridge play park. Following traffic-free cycle paths and the occasional quiet road. Stopping at Lydiard Park for a hot drink and refreshments. The ride loops out through Westlea and follows Shaw Ridge Linear Park to connect to Lydiard. On the way back we go down through Grange Park and join the cycle path alongside Great Western Way. The route is mainly flat, with one gradual hill up to Shaw Ridge, but we'll wait for everyone at the top. It's a socially-paced ride which is beginner and family-friendly.

Did you know it's easy to get from the centre of Swindon to Lydiard Park by bike? Using the network of traffic-free cycle paths and a few short sections of quiet residential roads we'll show you how! Away from the busy roads we'll enjoy plenty of Swindon's hidden greenspaces along the way.

As with all the 'Potter on Pedals' rides we take the quietest and greenest routes around Swindon using the network of traffic-free cycle paths and the occasional short section of quiet road.

We'll take a short break to enjoy the views at Lydiard Park.

Under 16's must wear helmets and we also recommend that adults wear them too. Bring along a drink and a snack if needed.

Potter on Pedals rides are social rides designed to help you discover more of your local area by bike in a friendly, supportive environment. Speed is discouraged and no one is ever left behind. Everyone is welcome no matter your age, ability or type of cycle. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions :)
