Portsmouth - City Streets & Park Life - 12 miler

This flat route takes in the harbour waterfront areas of Portsmouth and Gosport.  Starting in Old Portsmouth, it travels by ferry to Gosport (adult and child tickets will be required) and follows much of the excellent cycle path infrastructure around the outskirts of the town. The routes passes the Explosion Museum, Gosport Leisure Centre and then follows the old rail branch line to Stokes Bay which is a great place to top for refreshments. The return route passes along the waterfronts of inland lakes and parks, the location of both the former Gosport Velodrome, Gosport Lido.  Pick up the ferry before returning to Old Portsmouth using the outward route.  Bikes can go free in the summer holidays but you will need to purchase a ticket for the Gosport Ferry on this route. The Portsmouth side ticket machine only accepts cash - no card payments available.
