Road ride out of Pontefract to Fairburn, where we will ride around the Ings. Then over to Sherburn in Elmet and on to Tadcaster via Towton. From Tadcaster we will follow NCN Route 66 to Naiburn, just south of York. We will then ride down to Caywood, Thorpe Willoughby and to Birkin for our second cafe stop. Then we head over the M62 and A1 to Darrington, before making our way back into Pontefract.
The route has a few hills at the start and at the very end. For the most part, it is relatively flat being the vale of York.
