Starting from Pontefract park we head towards Darrington and Womersley out onto mainly quiet country roads where we pass through the villages of Beal and Birkin. From there we travel on the main Hillam road and turn off for Burt's Barrow farm/cafe shop for our cafe/drinks stop. Then we head towards Fairburn staying on quiet roads, just touching on a main road before we swing off through picturesque Ledsham and Ledston and make our way back towards Castleford, through Glasshoughton and finally back into Pontefract Park.
