Saltram

Join us on some amazing rides, created in association with our friends at the National Trust. Make the most of some beautiful countryside, and great facilities for cyclists. If you're fairly confident on your bike on dirt and gravel surfaces and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Off-Road Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, there is barely a metre of tarmac in sight on these rides so come and enjoy the scrunch of gravel and the squelch of mud under your tyres with us! Rides are between 4 and 15 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Come with us on this gentle traffic free off road loop that takes in the delights of Saltram Park estate and views across the river Plym. This circular 4 mile route takes us around the wonderful Saltram Wood with a stop at the tearooms for a reward, so remember to bring some money for cake! As a charity the National Trust rely heavily on membership subscriptions and admission fees. For every visit your local National Trust Centre will receive some of this money to fund their conservation work so please let us know if you are a member.
