Plymouth - Down the Plym Valley - 23 miler

You don't have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you'll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you're comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. A ride from Devil's Point, overlooking Firestone Bay, Drake's Island, and Mount Edgcumbe, and taking in some of the wonderful parks and heritage sites of the old towns of Stonehouse and Devonport before heading north of the city toward the airport. We then travel down into the Plym Valley, meandering through the Saltram Estate and the Historic Barbican, and climbing up to finish with the panoramic view from Plymouth Hoe. This ride is perfect for confident riders looking to take their riding a little further. We have two fantastic rides heading off today from the same place. We’ll be offering the chance to ride our popular route 12 mile route Devil’s Point to Plymouth Hoe or our Down the Plym Valley 23 miler, please book yourself onto the most appropriate ride for you. If you are feeling lethargic or don’t have your cycling legs don’t worry you are more than welcome to join the 12 miler route. We’ll have plenty of Ride Leaders on hand to support you so we hope you’ll be able to join us!
