This has always been a popular ride amongst riders of all ages, and due to request, I have listed this slightly later than usual at MIDDAY on SATURDAY. A ride with a difference, skirting the perimeter of Manchester Airport on eight miles of quiet lanes, cycle paths and off-road trails, with a few small road sections. From the gentle rolling cycleway, you'll be able to watch the arrivals and departures at one of the UK's busiest airports. At around 2/3 of the route, we will call in at the Aviation Viewing Park, where we will spend around 30 minutes to have a browse and a coffee, and use the facilities. Bring some pennies for refreshments. Due to the mixed nature of the route's surfaces, road bikes with narrow tyres are not advised. As a Social ride, rules are more relaxed but I would recommend a suitable helmet for all....always.
