Pitsford Reservoir

Leaving the park we head towards Bradlaugh Fields via a couple of side streets then follow cycle lane to Moulton Park then road to Specs lane (gravel track) over ford & out at Pitsford Village up to the Reservoir. Stopping for refreshments at Brixworth Country Park with stunning views over Pitsford Reservoir before an (optional) loop round return. Possible alternative coffee stop via Brampton Valley Way to Brampton Holt! & return via Kingsthorpe/p> Suitable for MTB's Hybrids or Crossers/Roadies with treaded tyres. mileage - 7 Abington Park - Pitsford, 7 miles around Pitsford (optional) 7 miles Return Total 21 2 hills or 25 if return via BVW! Its perfect for all abilities, particularly those who haven't cycled in a while and want a nice, easy steady paced ride. We'll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We really welcome newcomers to our rides. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don't have one please do not to worry you can still take part.& If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
