This Father and son cycle group ride is open for anyone to join

A lovely circular route a slightly different route than our other versions to this little busy very picturesque town . We cover some of Doncaster’s splendid woodland areas and some lovely countryside quiet lanes , and fantastic farmland tracks .

Setting off from tenpin bowling complex we head towards the lovely views around lakeside we head over the mallard bridge onto the dearne valley old railway route towards Edlington pit top over into the magnificent woodland areas in edlington woods up towards the beautiful woodland trails through wadworth woods we then go towards the lovely quaint little town of Tickhill on some lovely quiet countryside lanes . We then call at the sandwich shop at the travellers rest public house we then cycle to a lovely picnic spot at side of the millpond on the lindrick . Our return journey takes us all off road on farm tracks passing through villages of stancil and wellingley , looping around past Amazon lakes potteric Carr nature reserve bridleway back into bessacarr eventually arriving back at the finish we might do some different routes around the the magnificent lakeside.

Old railway lines , bridleways, farm tracks and quiet country lanes shared paths etc

Our main stop will be at a popular sandwich shop and riding to a close by picturesque picnic spot .

Helmets advisable, please bring cash /card for sandwich shop , spare inner tubes and tools and pump to repair a puncture.
