Petes Preston / Lytham Twist

This was a ride created by one of the original FCs who passed away , I spent a couple of days with him doing recce rides when he knew he had been diagnosed with a terminal condition . He was a lovely fella and could shift when he wanted to on his Planet X carbon road bike !
This was one of the routes he created and asked if we would continue to to it as a memorial ride . It is a great ride to Lytham from Preston . All roads and a bit of cycle path .
We ride from Frenchwood recreation area along the guild wheel where we detour after rivers way through Kirkham and over to Lytham where we have lunch at the Lowther Pavillion .
We will ride at a pace around 9-11 mph mainly on roads and smooth cycle paths . Please make sure you have enough cash to get you back to the start if you feel unwell or have a mechanical that we cannot rectify . We will not cut the ride short .
