Petes Lumpy Canal Ride To Rivington

This is a route created by Pete Welsh .Starting at West Paddock ( Civic Centre car park ), we head out through Buckshaw Village before picking up the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and heading through Adlington before heading upto Rivington barn for refreshments . We return back a slightly different route, still using part of the Canal . It is a slightly slimmed down version of The Ribble Ring ,more suited to beginners and intermediate riders ,just under 24 miles part road ,part canal trails . We will ride at a nice chilled out pace and will not leave anyone behind . Please make sure your bikes are roadworthy the night before , and you take a couple of spare innertubes and a means to inflate them.
Please note , we keep these rides to limited numbers , as all the FCs rides are run to BC ride leader to rider ratios , and have a first aider amongst us . We put our own time in to get qualified and so run quality safe rides . A lot of rides being advertised on ride social may not have trained leaders or first aiders , maybe worth asking when you book onto non FCs rides .
Please get to the start at least 15 minutes before the set time to leave so we can leave on time .
