GET INVOLVED!
The South Borough Council active travel team are going to be onsite from 1pm checking and servicing bikes free for members of the community and workers at local businesses in the Penwortham area.
Also on the day we will have hourly rides leaving from the community centre showcasing the local infrastructure new and old and promoting active travel in the area.
We will discover and understand the super cycle highway from Cop lane to Hutton and see how successful it is.
We can also establish routes through local parks which make thoroughfares to Preston bus and train connections.

Pop into the community centre after 1pm and meet the South ribble cycle team. From here you can have a free bike check with qualified bike mechanics and then take in an hour long bike ride showcasing the brilliant infrastructure the serves and benefits the Penwortham area.

We will be discovering and getting to know many of the existing and new cycle tracks and trails around the area with some sections of road riding.

There are eateries and food outlets a plenty on our ride some of whom we are hoping are going to join us on the ride.

Bring yourself please. A bike and helmet, also appropriate clothing. The team have tools and spares and will be offering advice on preparing for and undertaking a local ride.

We especially welcome newbies!
