Pentrich via old coach road

This is the third Sat morning rides leaving from Eastwood Community Sports Centre. Any new riders out will get some group riding advice/kit check before the ride begins! I have a choice of 2 routes short 16m or longer 20m+, weather/time/fitness dependent. Pentrich via old coach road START : Eastwood Community Sports Centre. Mansfield Road. NG16 3EB. Turn (L) out of Centre onto A608 Mansfield Rd until we reach Brinsley (2m).Descend Brinsley Hill (L) Jacksdale (3.6m). From Jacksdale (L) go towards Ironville (R) (4.2m) then (L) on to Coach Road. At junction go straight over onto the Old Coach Road, single track lane and tarred Bridleway (broken surface care needed). At the end of this lane is the old Butterley works and the Midland Railway(5.7m). *The route can be shorten to 16miles cross main Ripley road and follow old Butterley lane (extreme care as it is pot holed).Turn (R) onto Asher lane towards Pentrich. Onto Back lane and follow the B6016 (8m) to Swanwick. Return back to Jacksdale (19m) and then to Eastwood following the same roads. Total 24miles. Tea and coffee at Sports Centre Cafe at the finish, plus if anyone needs any tips or a demo on mending a puncture ask. Please bring a waterproof, a drink, spare inner tube, extra clothing (It’s been a chilly) and some money for a drink. Other ride dates:, 4th May Newstead Abbey, 11th May Dale Abbey. N.B.
