Join us for a 26 mile ride from Penrith. We will cycle to Yanwath and then onto Askham. From here we will cycle along the valley to Brampton before climbing to Shap. From Shap we will ride to Little Strickland and onto Great Strickland. There will be the opportunity to stop at Abbot Lodge Ice Cream Farm for ice cream before returning to Penrith. This ride is the fourth in a series of rides for riders to build up the distance they cycle and are ideal for those taking part in the Breeze Challenge in October. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind but this ride is not suitable for beginners. Our aim is for everyone to enjoy their ride and have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well as ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable and suitable for the weather to cycle in. It is a good idea to bring a spare inner tube, waterproof jacket, a bottle of water and a snack. We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet. If you have any questions about this ride then you can e mail us at [email protected] or see our Facebook pages for more information:
