Come and join like-minded ladies on this traffic free canal side ride starting from Wigan Pier's bottom lock and along the Leeds Liverpool Canal to Pennington Country Park.  The total ride is approximately 15 miles and is suitable for all types of bikes except those with stabilisers or trailers. After a ride around Pennington Flash and the Country Park we will return to Trencherfied Mill via the same route with a stop at the Dover Lock where we will be able to buy refreshments so please bring some money if you would like something to eat or drink. Most of the canal is flat with a few lock gates to navigate along the way. It's advisable to wear a helmet and suitable clothing as we cannot guarantee the weather.  Also you may wish to bring a drink and a spare inner tube in case of punctures.
