Peebles to Eddleston Explorer Ride : A Scottish cycling community ride for UCI World Championships

Update:Route out to Eddleston using newly opened multi-use cycle path from Peebles to Eddleston.
Please be aware that there will be road closures in place and restrictions in place along the Tweed valley due to the MTB Marathon event which may affect your journey to Peebles. First section from car park to cycle path is on a main road with fairly heavy traffic.

We are cycling in celebration of the UCI World Championships and to coincide with the MTB Cross Country Marathon being staged at Glentress Forest on Aug 6th. The ride is an easy-going route from Tweed Green following the river along the Tweed Valley Railway Path to Cardrona where we return via a quiet back road passing Kailzie Gardens. The ride is led by a qualified Breeze Champion.Breeze is the Scottish and British Cycling programme supporting more women to discover the joy of cycling.

We will be cycling on traffic free cycle ways and quiet country roads including the B7062. Some busier roads to cross in Peebles itself.

We will pause regularly to enjoy the views,have a drink or snack and to take photos. We will regroup where necessary so we are riding as a group.

Helmets are mandatory.Appropriate clothing for the Scottish weather. Please bring a drink and a snack if you need it.
