Pedalling Squares Cycling Cafe Old Brassworks Swalwell NE163AQ

Heading out from Pedalling Squares we will head along the Tyne Valley passing through Newburn, Wylam, Ovingham, Bywell, Corbridge before arriving into Hexham and onto Cafe Enna (at the Golf Course on Tyne Green). It's a route out and back. The route is 45 mile miles return but mainly flat apart from the climb from Bywell before dropping down into historic Corbridge. The route is mainly very quiet country lanes apart from a well trodden track between Newburn and Wylam. Pace should be 10-12mph (so we won't be racing) Bring a lock and some change as we will be going into the Cafe at Hexham. This ride is bing led by a qualified Sky Ride Leader and first aider but isn't an official Sky Ride. It's a social ride with the emphasis on enjoying covering a few miles and the opportunity to converse with like minded cyclists. Although assistance will be offered, maintenance of your bike will be your responsibility so please bring some basic tools. Note the calculator thinks 11mph avg is brisk, it's not, it's leisurely Just noticed the map is a bit off - we will be sticking to the north of the river
