The forecast is for a cold but bright Sunday so the plan is to cycle a loop from South Hill Park using cycle paths and a few quiet roads to end up back at the Park cafe for some well earned hot refreshment! The ride is suitable for anyone who maybe fancies getting into cycling, is returning post injury or who just wants to get some exercise in the fresh air with like minded ladies :) The pace will be as best suits the group as we take in a few gates to practise bike handling skills and a few inclines to keep us warm! Please do take the time to check your bike before departing (sufficient air in tyres, both brakes working and chain well lubed) and bring with you a spare inner tube suitable for your bike (any bike shop will be able to help you with this.) You might want to dig out your thermals and/or wear a few layers together with gloves and the all important helmet. Finally, please also bring some money for the cafe stop at the end and, if possible, a bike lock as we may well be sitting inside!
