This series of rides is about showing people a bit more of the National Trust properties than perhaps most visitors experience. In both Saltram and Plym Valley the majority of visitors stick to the well-used paths/trails. My brief is to take people ever so slightly off-piste, and to show them the potential of the properties. I endeavour to make the rides somewhat adventurous but also must keep them family-friendly. For each ride I have a basic route plan in my head. I will also have extras that I can insert into the basic route, based upon weather conditions, participants' ability levels, etc. This ride will start from Plymbridge carpark, and initially head northward on the main cycle path. However, we will leave, and return to, this path several times, enter Cann Woods, drop to the lower path, cross the river a number of times, and move south of our initial start point, before eventually returning to Plymbridge carpark. NB - Please be aware that, although this ride is advertised as being suitable for all bike types, we will be leaving the main, surfaced, paths/trails. Participants must, therefore, decide for themselves if they will be capable of negotiating potentially muddy, uneven sections of the route.
