Pedal for Pizza

We are pedalling for pizza in the newly refurbished pub The Old Guinea Pub and Pizzeria in Ridge- so bring some cash along for a spot of lunch towards the last 3/4 miles of the ride We will be riding at c10-12mph, with 50miles as our min distance. Please contact me if you're unsure of your speeds or if this ride is right for you. Starting from The Shenley Tea Rooms /Cafe in the Orchard, Shenley Park, Radlett Lane, Shenley, Herts WD7 9DW we will be having a safety and ride briefing here before we ride out. We will be riding on main roads, country lanes and cycle paths where possible. START VENUE: www.intheorchard.co.uk Open from 8am-5pm, toilets onsite available CAR PARKING: There is car parking at the Tea rooms, please check the signs NO DROP POLICY: We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and always wait at the top of hills, so no one gets left behind. COFFEE/CAKE STOPS:We usually stop for coffee halfway or at the end depending on the route, we will discuss this at the start. So bring some cash to treat yourself along the way. this week its pizza at the end. YOUR KIT: Please check the following are in all good working order- or pop to your Local Bike Shop (LBS) for a quick health check...Call Giant in Radlett 01923850327 for advice -Tyre's- with good tread and pumped up -Gears- all in working order, cleaned and oiled regularly -Brakes- in good working order -Pedals and saddle are tighten -spare inner tube for your tyre's -levers (for changing a flat tyre) -bike pump -Lights- useful but not essential during daylight periods -clothing- extra layers, gloves, snood/buff -a cycling helmet is a compulsory item on my rides WEATHER: We live in the UK and the weather can be changeable, if I feel it's raining too hard, too cold/miserable/icy/snowy/windy etc then I will cancel, for your safety as well as enjoyment of the ride. But bring thin layers and waterproof jackets as weather can change through out a ride and you may want that extra layer if we stop or have to change a puncture.
