Ottes Cafe to The Ferry Inn If you are fairly confident on your bike and you are ready to broaden your horizons and ride further, if so this ride is for you as it is approximately 30 miles. This ride will be at a steady pace of around 10 miles per hour. We will be starting the ride at Otters Cafe just past the Harvester Pub Otters Pool, where there is plenty of free parking available. We will set off along the quiet roads of Garston, towards the Garston Nature Reserve, then head on to the roads again towards Hale Village. Will we pass through the gorgeous village with its thatched roofed cottages. We will then head on to the Trans Pennine Route 62 to Fiddlers Ferry going along cycle and canal paths. We will go past the impressive Fiddler's Ferry power station which surprisingly is surrounded by green pastures and wildflowers. We will continue on to the Ferry Inn where we can stop for a break and drink, there are fantastic views over the Mersey estuary. Our route back will be similar, except we will pass Speke Hall and cycle along the nature reserve before heading back to Otterspool. Please bring along a puncture repair kit/spare inner tube, a waterproof jacket just in case, and some money for our stop or you can bring a packed lunch.
