About the route
This is a short, just under 4 mile ride suitable for those who prefer to ride off road or on quiet roads, and wanting to build up their fitness. We start off from Sport in Desford and pick up the off road trail alongside Caterpillar Inc. The trail is quiet and runs next to farmland and comes out in the small village of Peckleton, where you can stop off to buy some local honey. The ride out of Peckleton is uphill on Archers Lane, a quiet country lane that leads into an off road track through fields back into Desford. The final mile is back through Desford Main street returning to Sport in Desford.
