If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. The blissful 6 mile ride takes advantage of Trowbridges beautiful green parklands, open spaces and designated cycle paths. We starts in the The Park, adjacent the Castle Place Leisure Centre, where we loop around The Park before exiting alongside the babbling River Biss. Using shared cycle/footpaths and roadways we travel out East to the tranquil Paxcroft Parkland with the Paxcroft Brook meandering through the middle. The route then takes you away from the parkland and loops back through the new housing estate and back in to the Paxcroft parkland before retracing the outward route to the leisure centre. A wonderfully picturesque ride through quiet cycle paths and suburban roads.
