This Sunday’s ride will leave The Leggers Inn Dewsbury and head through Ossett, Horbury & Pugneys.
The return route will take in Lupset, Ossett, Gawthorpe and Earlesheaton before arriving back at The Leggers Inn.
Please be aware that there are quite a few hills along the way, however nobody will be left behind.

This Sunday’s ride will leave The Leggers Inn and take a tour through Ossett, Horbury and Wakefield passing through as many municipal parks as is reasonably possible as well as passing by HMP. There’s even a steep descent thrown in for good measure. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RIDE IS OPEN TO ADULTS, 18+ ONLY. The Met Office forecast for 10:00 Sunday is currently suggesting sunnny intervals, a temperature of 17°C rising to 20°C by noon with winds gusting to 2 mph. Please check the forecast for yourself on Sunday morning. Please be aware that this is not a guided ride and that each participant remains responsible for their own actions or omissions at all times.

We will travel along a combination of public roads and greenways. There will also be a few hundred metres of canal towpath. We will encounter a reasonable amount of traffic on the public roads so riders need to be confident in those situations. E-bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids with off-road tyres, and gravel bikes should be ok on this ride.

There will be short stops along the way to re-group or to take in points of interest. The only scheduled stop will be a toilet break at Pugneys. We will also stop for refreshment either en route or at Aladdin's Cave at the end of the ride.

Don't forget cash/card for your refreshments. Helmets are mandatory on all Heavy Woollen Wheelers rides. Please bring a spare inner tube suitable for the tyres on the bike you are riding.

We especially welcome newbies and never leave anyone behind.
