Starting point

Lancashire
PR1 8BZ

The Route takes in some of South Ribble's best Parks. Starting in Avenham Park we head out down the old Tramway through Cuerden Valley Park and then onto Worden Park via Buckshaw, before following sections of the Leyland Loop Cycle route all the way to the Leyland Tank Memorial. We then head off across Leyland Moss and then return on quiet lanes and cycleways through Hirst Grange Park back to Avenham Park. Most of the route is on good cycle-ways there are a few unsurfaced sections through Cuerden Valley, the Leyland Loop and over leyland Moss. Some Sections may be muddy, so mudguards would be advised. I would advise MTB or Hybrid. There is no cafe stop on the route so please bring drinks and snacks.

Due to the Current Covid-19 restrictions, and British Cycling Guidance the ride will be limited to a maximum of 8 people including the ride leader, so please book on early to avoid disappointment. Please maintain social distancing throughout the ride. Prior the ride if you a showing symptoms of Covid-19 please do not turn up on the ride for the safety of all other participants.

There are two potential places to park, to the West of the Park you can park at the side of the road on Broadgate. To the East of the Park there is a small Car Park at Frenchwood (PR1 4LX), but please be aware this has a height restriction Barrier on entry. There is no Vehicle Access to Avenham Park

I look forward to meeting you on the ride
