Oxhill Scarecrow Festival Ride

This is a lovely family ride out to the annual Scarecrow Festival in the next village.  We will head off at 11.30 from Tysoe, cycle to Oxhill (approx 2.5 miles) and then we will walk with our bikes around the village looking at the garden displays. There will be refreshments at Oxhill village hall for a small contribution, plus I think there is s small entrance fee for the festival of £1.50 per adult and free entry for children.  They village also has a pig roast, stalls etc. Once we are at Oxhill, we may be best to split up and walk around by ourselves, and then meet up again at an agreed time for the ride back.  The roads in the village are narrow, and having 8 or so bikes all together could cause a bit of congestion. The ride is a total of 5 miles and we will travel at the pace of the slowest child.  Parents MUST accompany children and be responsible for ensuring they stay with you at the festival. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. All children under the age of 18 MUST wear a helmet.
