Owslebury scarecrow search

This is our annual visit to follow the scarecrow trail in Owslebury, this year's theme is iconic characters. If possible please bring a few coins so that we can make a donation to village funds.

We will head out of Winchester along Chilbolton Ave and on to Olivers Battery. We will pedal along Poles Lane, back through Shawford to Twyford and up the hill to Owslebury. There will be time to take photos and try to identify the scarecrows, before we head back to Shawford for coffee (or maybe even gelato) and the cycle back to Winchester.
The route includes a couple of challenging hills, and some main road, but on a Sunday there should be less traffic. We will ride safely together as a group, cycling the hills at our own pace and taking a breather at the top.

You will need
A roadworthy bike & helmet
Kit to fix a puncture -tyre levers, inner tube & pump ( ability to fix it not required!)
A few coins for donation
Water
Money/ payment card for refreshments
Suncream
Lock for your bike
