We ride the cycleway on the old railway line from Newport to West Cowes, passing the Boat Shed part of the Classic Boat Museum (not open today) where there is information about Joe Carstairs, an openly lesbian power boat racer, then along the round the island route to Newtown town hall, one of the properties saved from delapidation by Peggy Pollard and her chums, Ferguson's Gang, then back to Newport, where the exhibition Out on an Island is taking place. Fairly flat (for the island!)
