From the racecourse we'll head out along the solar system as far as Naburn, then across to Crockey Hill and on to Wheldrake. After visiting the studios - Claire Castle (paintings) and Carolyn Carney (ceramics) - we'll have a coffee stop at Cafe Valeria in the village. We'll return to York via Escrick and pick up the cycle track back to Bishopthorpe where we'll visit Mark Pollitt (photography) and Kate Hardy (acrylics) before ending the ride back at the racecourse.
A 20 mile ride out to see some of York Open Studies in Wheldrake and Bishopthorpe
Mostly quiet roads and cycle tracks.
We'll be visiting two Open Studios in Wheldrake - . We'll then head to Cafe Valeria for coffee/refreshments.
Please wear a helmet and bring a spare inner tube and pump. Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need on the ride.
