Old Wood Loop (Birchwood / Skellingthorpe)

Birchwood / Skellingthorpe - Old Wood Loop Starting from the Birchwood Leisure Centre, the Old Wood loop will be a steady ride of about 10 miles on a mix of road and off road paths. It is suitable for most bikes, but could be difficult for road bikes if wet. In the event of rain, I will change the route on the night though! The start time is the time that we’ll leave, so try and be a few minutes early, especially if it is your first time on the ride. There is car parking available (although this is limited) at the leisure centre. It's a good idea to bring some water, especially if it's warm, as well as a puncture repair kit/spare inner tube for your bike.  Please also remember your lights as it may get dark before you get home. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not worry as you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again, perhaps you could look to buy one then? Please ensure a mobile number is provided in case the ride is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In case you're worried, nobody will get left behind, as we always ride at the pace of the slowest riders.
