Leaving the car park via ripley castle and the cycling route past the gates we head up a traffic free surfaced trail before joining country lanes. After visiting the cafe we have a very scenic downhill through the deer park towards ripon. Fingers crossed for no punctures this time but we return to ripley via a different route with a fantastic final downhill back to the castle.

North Yorkshire country lanes from ripley to studley Royal and ripon. Taking in the deer park with views to Ripon.

Mostly country lanes with a couple of hills with stunning scenery and downhills.

Fountains Abbey has a cafe that we can visit. Or we can drop down into Ripon for a choice of cafes.

Helmets are mandatory for random wheelers rides. Please bring money for cafe and clothing for the conditions of the day. The car park at Ripley is pay and display
