Official opening of the towpath - Sowerby Bridge to Hebden Bridge

The group will meet in the car park behind Sowerby Bridge market (Wharf St, Sowerby Bridge HX6 2LA) and we will follow the towpath to Hebden where we will join in the ribbon cutting to celebrate the official opening of the towpath. This is a towpath only route to celebrate the official opening of the towpath from Sowerby Bridge to Todmorden. This is a towpath only ride We will be riding to join the official opening of the towpath at Hebden Bridge, there will be an official ribbon cutting and refreshments will be provided Please ensure you have a helmet and a bike suitable for the towpath

There will be a ribbon cutting with Councillors and others, on the towpath near to Calder Holmes Park. There will be free refreshments for all attendees.Calderdale Council will install a wooden cycle track in Hebden Bridge - ideal for little legs to have some fun.
