Extra Market Info and Special Tips!

Notting Hill Farmers’ Markets is one of the oldest Farmers’ Markets in London, having opened in 2000. It has a die-hard following, and for very good reason. Market tips: Hurdlebrook Dairy’s fresh milk and cream attract long queues, and Ted’s Veg have an excellent display of their Fenland vegetables. For top quality sausages on strings, try Grasmere Farm.

South Kensington Farmers’ Market opened on Bute Street in 2008, and was the first new street market opening in central London in at least 50 years! Market tips: Les Lawrence brings fresh fish direct from his own boats in Christchurch meaning you are hard-pressed to find fresher fish anywhere. Rookery Farm’s organic eggs are always a big hit as well, and go fantastically well with Parsons Nose sausages.

Pimlico Farmers’ Market is in a beautiful location, on Orange Square on Pimlico Road. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat while you shop, and there are lots of farmers and stallholders always keen to have a chat! Market tips: The Fridd family of Saffery Farm in Kent have become an institution in the area thanks to their spectacular veg display from their farm near Rochester. Richard Haward brings up outstanding native oysters from his own oyster beds near Colchester.
