Oakwell Hall Country Park - lower car-park next to Countryside Centre, Nutter Lane, Birstall

An easy ride, mostly traffic-free, through the scenic Oakwell Country Park near Birstall. Enjoy the winter landscape then warm up with a brew at the cafe. Due to the ground conditions - mud, some loose gravel, some low timbers to cross (or dismount to cross) - this is effectively an introduction to mountain-biking! Mountain bikes ideal but hybrids with decent tread on the tyres will be OK, though be prepared to slip a bit.
