Route may be shortened to Colwick and then back via Sneinton with later start and cold weather, but it would be just good to get out!
Cross ring road, Dorket Drive, Over Derby Rd by Gatehouse, River Leen to Abbey St.Follow cycle route to pick up Western Corridor segregated cycle path (Castle Blvd & Canal St) which can now be followed to London Rd. Cross London Rd, through City Link to Sneinton Greenway to turn right at the end onto Racecourse Rd.
Part way down take the new path on the right around Colwick Park to come out on the industrial estate to follow signed route along Colwick Loop Rd to right turn to Stoke Bardolph.
Follow route through Stoke Bardolph to the path by the river and follow unto you need to cross Lowdham Rd.
Turn left to Lowdham
14 miles

Return along cycle path by Nottingham Rd (maybe go through Burton Joyce) to take Burton Rd, Stoke Lane and return through Netherfield picking up the Loop Rd again at the end of
Vale Rd.
Along Daleside Rd, City Link, Station St.
To vary the route we can follow the tram line to Wilford along Queens Walk to turn R onto Kirk White St, to use cycle path along the tram line on Meadows Way, right onto Enterprise Way to pick up Birdcage Walk.

All easy, flat and much on cycle paths, off road (mainly tarmac) and quiet sections of road. The new bit in Colwick is of a high quality. It is from Racecourse Rd with the river on your right and around West Lake to join up with the existing path from a disabled car park (Wired on Wheels shown on google maps) leading out of the park onto Mile End Rd.

Start from 60 Moorgreen and heading East towards Awsworth taking (detour) in the Bennerley Viaduct. Proceed along the Nottingham Canal, to Trowell garden centre then head for Balloon Woods Bramcote where we will stop at SUDA world kitchen cafe 151-153 Bramcote Ln, Nottingham NG8 2QJ.
