Meet on the cycle path in front of the Teesside Watersports Centre Cafe, Tees Barrage, TS18 2QW

This ride takes you from the thrilling White Water Course of the Tees Barrage to the calm stillwaters of RSPB Saltholme. Heading away from the Barrage, via the north side of the river, we take the path toward Newport Bridge and through Port Clarence before arriving at the RSPB Saltholme Nature Reserve. Entry to Saltholme is free for cyclists to visit and whilst here you can explore the breathtaking, state-of-the-art building with panoramic views of this huge wetland. There is an excellent café with various snacks and they do a very nice breakfast if you need some extra fuel to aid your return to The Barrage over Newport Bridge along the south side of the river.
