From Coypool we take the cycle path to St Mary’s Park. Straight up through Plympton we track round Langage Estate dropping down to Smithaleigh. Country lanes take us across country to the South Hams Peninsula where we follow the coast to Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers before taking the a379 to Ermington and our refreshment stop.
Fully refreshed it’s the usual route back to the start via NCN27, Sherford and the Embankment cycle path.

This is a real mix of traffic free cycle paths, country lanes, roads with cycle path and a couple of stretches of main trunk road and, as such is aimed at the more confident rider.

There are a couple of options for a coffee/cake stop. Decision to be made on the day although those who know me are aware of my preference for a Rusty Tractor cheese scone.

Usual rules apply, helmets, drinks and snacks are mandatory as are working lights bearing in mind we will be riding on the main road. Also we will be out in the sticks so make sure you have a spare inner tube and the means to change it if necessary. Pennies for lunch stop recommended.

We never leave anyone behind
