This ride is a Challenge 40+ ride Do you have a road bike? Do you have a basic repair kit and spare inner tube to fix any punctures or carry out minor repairs if needed? Are you comfortable cycling 30 miles+ at an average speed of 13-15mph? If the answer to ALL of these is YES, then this ride should be perfect for you! If not, why not think about trying some of our 'Steady' or shorter 'Challenging' rides first so you can build your confidence and fitness?

Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

A 68 mile ride out the countryside to Goo Cafe taking in some lovely villages and hills along the way including Ivinghoe Beacon, on our return journey we will take in the hills Aston Clinton
Before heading back through Chenies back to Northwood Hills

This is a hilly ride 3500+ ft of climbing

We aim to keep at a steady pace with an average 12 + speed throughout the route. You need to be confident as these scenic routes get busy with traffic in Summer.
There will be some cycling though A roads and should be able to keep up with the pace and for that reason this isn’t suitable for beginners.

This is road bike ride. Please wear bright clothes, dress for the weather suggest layering. Please Wear a helmet. have rear lights ( consider front too )
Arrive early to ensure to carry out your bike check before we set off. Bring inner tube and tool Bring some water and a snack as this is a non stop ride
There will be coffee stop also at the end of the ride
