WD24 4JL

Starting from the Timberlake Car Park off Radlett Road in North Watford, this route goes through North Watford, Garston and Bricket Wood, stopping to admire the pretty Picture House, before dropping down through the woods and returning via a circular route through Garston Park. Note there is no cafe stop on this short ride.

Over 60% of this ride is traffic-free, using tarmac cycleways and shared paths. It is suitable for all bikes although road bikes with slick tyres are not advised due to some uneven and slippery surfaces we will go through. Also if you have a fear of heights please note we do have to cross one busy road via an overbridge so if this a problem please don't book on as there is no safe crossing point at ground level. Contact the Ride Leader if you have any questions.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear a helmet as the route goes through some bumpy terrain. Don't forget a drink and a snack, a spare inner tube or two, and some cash or a card in case of emergency.

Please ensure you have lights on your bike as visibility is very important at this time of year, even in daylight.

Please arrive by 10:50am so we can run through a riders register, bike checks and a brief on social distancing measures before we set off.

In view of COVID-19 we will be taking this into account with our ride leading and we will follow government guidelines. Please note the following:

• We will not share any equipment so please be organised and bring your own items eg drink, spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump, mask, sun cream and hand sanitiser.
• You should pay particular attention to your bike being in good working order before attending a ride so as to minimise risks and disruption to rides. We will do a bike check before leaving.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account.
• Participants must not attend a ride if they have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms and should be isolating.
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride.

All of the above is to keep us all safe from the virus.

You can contact the leader directly via the 'Message Ride Creator' tab in the ride posting on Let's Ride.

Let's Ride will be planting a tree through their partners See.Sense for every individual who rides four times with Breeze and/or Guided Rides throughout January and February.

Look forward to seeing you!
