North Leeds explorer - approx 14 miles

Starting off on Glen Road, Far Headingley where road side parking is freely available, we will cross the main Otley road (by foot if necessary) and go up in to Becketts park campus for a meander .We then head across Queenswood drive and head down to Kirkstall.
After a short spell on the canal we will leave the canal at Kirkstall Forge and head up into Horsforth.
This exploratory route will develop as we go along. We will try the new bike path alongside part of the ring road in Horsforth. Contributions of suggestions welceomed.
there are no massive hills and a steady but energising speed will be
taken. But we never leave anyone behind and our whole aim is to have fun, further develop confidence in riding and to have a nice coffee and cake stop somewhere.

This is a mixed quiet road/park route for ladies who want an hour or so's relatively gentle meander on a Saturday morning

suburban residential roads around weetwood, headlingley and meanwood.

We can stop near the end in Meanwood - coffee at Maria's café opposite Waitrose.
