This is a 14 mile circular route on cycle path from the Cycle Hub, through the Tyne Cycle Tunnel and to the statue of the Jarrow March in Jarrow.
We will return on cycle path south of the Tyne, crossing the Tyne at the Millenium Bridge.

This ride is part of a day celebration of International Women’s day organised in collaboration with Cycle with Jan, Watbike and the Cycle Hub

If you do not wish to do the whole ride, Watbike can provide transport back to the Cycle Hub from Jarrow.

If you would like to arrive earlier than 1pm, the days starts at
10 am -
Welcome and housekeeping with a few words of introduction and refreshments for all participants
10.30 - 12: Fix your bike session hosted by Cycle Hub inside the workshop
10.30 - 12: learn to ride session with Cycle With Jan in the car park
12.00 - 12:30 refreshments for all participants supplied by the Hub
12:30 Angels of the North speakers authors (the Right Honorable Baroness) Joyce Quin and Moira Kilkenny
1 - 3:30 bike rides supported by Breeze, Cycle With Jan, WATbike, the Cycle Hub

A day and ride to celebrate women and women’s cycling in the North East. Hosted by the Cycle Hub our ride will head off to the statue of notable woman, Ellen Wilkinson MP, in Jarrow before returning on cycle path south of the Tyne.

We will be cycling on cycle path with some quiet roads nearing the statue.

We will be stopping at the statue of Ellen Wilkinson for photographs. This a 14 mile circular route, so we may make other stops for photographs, refreshments will be available at the end of the ride

Helmets are always advisable, as is a spare inner tube, sized to your wheel. Please dress for the weather forecast and bring a drink. Refreshments will be available at the start and end of this ride
