Hello and welcome North East Hongkongers Club to British Cycling’s Guided Rides.
Our Guided Ride Leaders (who can be identified by their green Ride Leader cycling shirts) will be at The Cycle Hub at 9.45am to greet you. Once everyone has arrived for our 10am start we will have a ride briefing, quick check of everyone’s bike and then we are good to go.
The route we will be following on this leisurely 26-mile off road bike ride follows the River Tyne up stream and onto the Wylam Waggonways where we will be passing George Stephenson’s birthplace and into the Tyne Riverside Country Park.
At the halfway point we will be stopping at the Tyne Riverside Café next to Ovingham Bridge where you can either buy some refreshments from the café or bring your own.
Our return journey will be the same way we came.
