Leaving the Velodrome at 10am we cycle along the river through Newport to join the canal.
The canal offers us at least a modicum of cover in case the weather turns on us !!

Although this is a canal ride the vast majority of the way is now tarmac.

Stopping for Coffee in the visitor centre Cafe.

Please be COVID AWARE and dont ride if you have been in contact with anyone covid positive in the last 7 days. If possible complete a lat flo test beforehand. A good pump and spare inner tube are always a good idea. Helmets are mandatory...NO HELMET = NO RIDE.
