A beautiful riverside route along the banks of the River Tyne, extending on from Wylam to take in Ovingham, Bywell and head just beyond that to Riding Mill, where the highly regarded Duke of Wellington pub offers a great range of food and drink. This ride is mainly off road on National Cycle route 72 taking in a few quiet roads after Prudhoe / Ovingham. However, we only stay on the road for less than a mile before turning onto a country lane on the river's edge that takes us to Bywell, where we cross the bridge and take the road towards Riding Mill for some food and drink.
