Newcastle Phoenix Santa Ride - All welcome!

On Saturday 19th December it's the Annual Newcastle Phoenix Cycle Club Santa Bike Ride. This year we will be again heading off from the Excelsior Academy down to The Cycle Hub Cafe on the Quayside for a well earned tea break and back via the Millenium Bridge. Everyone is welcome irrespective of age or ability. Please meet at the Academy at 09:15 hrs for an off at 09:30 hrs sharp. The route is on non-traffic paths and is fairly flat apart from the last 1/2 mile back to the Academy but there will be plenty of help on hand to push you up the hill : ) Accompanied children very welcome to come ride with the kids and coaches of Newcastle Phoenix on a gentle paced sociable trip along the river. Estimated distance is 12 miles so should be back by 13:00 hrs. If you prefer a shorter ride then just meet us outside the back of the Copthorne Hotel on the path next to the river. As this is a festive event, please feel free to decorate yourselves or your bike. There will be a small prize for the best dressed rider/bike which will be judged by the staff at The Cycle Hub Cafe.
