We begin our journey from New Mills, crossing the stunning Millennium Bridge. Soon, we join the picturesque towpath alongside the Peak Forest Canal, enjoying a serene and scenic three-mile stretch to Whaley Bridge.
Here, we transition onto charming rural lanes, embarking on a steady climb that rewards us with expansive views of the Fernilee and Errwood reservoirs and the landscape beyond. A thrilling descent brings us into the spa town of Buxton. We proceed, passing through Harper Hill and the quaint agricultural hamlets of Chelmorton and Blackwell. Descending through Taddington, we reach the beautiful Millers Dale, where we pause for a lunch break.

We begin the second half of the ride with another gentle climb along tranquil country lanes, passing through the village of Wormhill and, later, Peak Forest, before cycling through the enchanting Perrydale. Continuing on, we find ourselves navigating more picturesque country lanes before joining the historic Peak Forest Tramway trail, leading us to the scenic Buxworth Basin. Our journey concludes as we return to New Mills.
