Starting point

SR6 0GL

Roof of the National Glass Centre next to the car park

This is a gentle ride for women perhaps new or returning to cycling, or those who enjoy a social ride. Starting at the National Glass Centre the route will follow the C2C cycle path along the river to Washington Wetlands Centre for lunch and then back again. The route includes a few short steep banks but is otherwise mainly flat; riders are welcome to walk the steep parts if they wish. No riders will be left behind and the group will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. The path is mostly tarmacked; however there are some sections with loose/rough surface therefore a mountain or hybrid style bike would be advisable. Important Information Please check the website on the morning of the ride to make sure it is still going ahead! A bike lock and puncture repair equipment are essential for this ride and a helmet and waterproof clothing are advisable. Ride leaders are not responsible for you or your bike; however every effort will be made to keep you a safe and give you an enjoyable ride. Please arrive early as the ride will leave at the time stated.
