This series of rides is aimed at mums and female guardians who would like to try out riding a bike with a social experience, in a very relaxed group. The start time is aimed to be after school drop-off in the Queens Park area of Brighton. We will ride on quiet roads to the seafront and then down Duke's Mound, so if you want to meet us on our way, on Park Street (lower end of Queens Park), or on the seafront opposite Lower Bedford St, or at Yellowave cafe on the beach, that would be fine; please let the ride leader know in advance. We'll reach Yellowave by about 9.30am. We will then ride either east or west depending on the wind direction and other weather conditions to a cafe, and aim to return with the wind on our backs by about 11.30am. You can hire either Dutch-style bikes from www.brightoncyclehire or more hybrid-style machines from www.cyclebrighton.com. Mums with toddlers may bring them along as long as you have appropriate equipment, either a child seat or a trailer. For insurance purposes, children must wear helmets; helmets are optional for adult riders. Please note that ride distance may vary between 6 and 12 miles, depending on participants and other conditions.
