Mountain Biking Above Askham.

This is a 10 mile mountain bike ride which will explore the tracks on Askham Fell before descending to Helton and riding some of the tracks in the Lowther Estate. This is a great ride if you are new to mountain biking as the tracks are never technical but be prepared to climb.
The ride starts with a climb from Askham up onto the fell. Once up though the worst of the climbing is done. Once on the fell we will be rewarded with some amazing views of Ullswater and the surrounding fells.
Mountain bikes are essential for this ride and so is a helmet. You will also need to come dressed for the weather, have a waterproof with you, a drink and a snack.
Please carry a spare inner tube, just in case you need it. As the route can be wet and muddy, a spare change of clothing for after the ride is also advisable.
We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. The aim of the ride is to have a fun sociable ride in the company of other women, build up confidence in our riding in a supportive group environment, as well ask questions about bikes and riding, and make links with others. All welcome and we will not leave anyone behind
This ride will follow all current social distancing requirements and numbers on the ride are limited. I would ask that if you are showing any symptoms of Covid 19 or if you have been in contact with anyone who has symptoms of Covid 19 you do no come on the ride.
